further more I don't think the ball ever hit the ground. I think DEZ arm was under it after the stretch.

Isn't it obvious. Make sure your check clears prior to game time or use cash.

Extending the ball with clear possession is a football move in my opinion. But like I said, you aren't wrong either. With the way the ruke is written it is based on each persons opinion of a football move

It's a bad interpretation of the rule

Did he make a football move? He switched hands with the ball after 3 steps in then extended for the end zone with a knee hitting before so technically 4 feet in with extension of the ball with one hand and control isn't even debated before he hit ground

I think it was a catch, but according to the rules, it wasn't. Dez shouldn't have reached. He should have protected the ball to ensure it would be ruled a catch. I blame Dez.

yes as a saints fan who doesn't give half a frick about who wins that game, i'm obviously biased

His hand is not under the football and the ball moved, what was it hitting?

your assuming his hand wasn't under the ball

show me a picture that shows the ball touching the ground. that's called indisputable evidence, which is what's required to reverse

The biggest thing that matters is that the ruling on the field was a completed catch. The official saw enough to consider the catch made and a football move made. The rulung should have never been overturned without clear evidence that a football move was not made. The fact that every is debating even the official on Fox if the dive was enough of a football rule tells you that it's in fact not conclusive

it's tucked between his forearm and shoulder pad, certainly not obvious that it hit the ground from that angle.

Yes. It was easily a catch.

I think he has possession of the ball when he tucks it with his hand (catch). When he hits the ground he should be down. Ground can't cause a fumble.

I could go either way on this one.

As a Cowboys fan, I will say that it was not a catch according to the rule. However, it is a stupid rule

To me he was down with his right arm hitting first and secure control of ball in left hand. Before he extends or anything else even happens

Watch the gif dude. His arm is on the left side of the ball, his hand at the front of the ball. You can see the bottom of the football beneath his arm as it is hitting the ground. The bottom of the ball absolutely hits the ground

Can anyone even provide a pic that shows definitive evidence that the ball hit the ground?

yeah in terms of reversing the call, somebody needs to show some indisputable evidence that hte ball even touched the ground

(this was what the person i watched the game said in real time and i didn't notice, but the gif clearly shows a call worthy of dispute)
