Shreveport has always had some shitty sports names
Shreveport Sports (baseball team) WTF
Shreveport Swamp Dragons (baseball team)
I agree with the Thunder. Sounds like a WNBA name.

LA Lakers, Utah Jazz, and New Jersey Nets.
Oh the New Jersey Nets used to be called the New Jersey Americans.

The Texans may not be a pretty name but they do have a beautiful logo.
Not exactly sure what a Charger is either.

Utah Jazz, by far.
Two things that have nothing in common with each other.

Well I think they were called the Jazz because they came from somewhere else that made more logical sense and then moved to Utah. Same goes for the LA Lakers who were named the Lakers back when they were located in Minnesota.

Let me also put these on the table...
the Washington Nationals - booring
the Minnesota Wild - What is a wild? What does this even mean?
the New England Patriots - Not that Patriots part, the New England part. How would the Gulf Coast Saints, or the Midwest Colts sound?
the Golden State Warriors - or the Sunshine State Heat?
and I don't think I even need to explain what's wrong these other two...
the Washington Redskins
the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim

Houstonians wanting to prove their Texans?
they should have renegotiated for the old Oilers name

Washington Wizards have by far the worst nickname/logo package in sports. I will go so far as to say anybody who disagrees with this has lost my MSB poster respect.
The name is bad enough, but WTF is up with the awful color scheme and logo? It looks like an art-school dropout had a bad trip and came up with this shite after watching Harry Potter. WTF does a "Wizard" have to do with the Beltway area? And even if you give the okay for the dumb nickname and logo, why would you choose brown/tan and an off-blue as your colors? Just horrible execution throughout the concept.
OKC Thunder is probably 2nd on my list, but it's not even in the same stratosphere as the awfulness of the Wizards. At least their hues of orange and blue and yellow POP, unlike the blah tones of the Wizards.

I'm a Texan fan but hate the name, but probably not for the same reasons.
I feel it only helps to perpetuate the stereotype that everyone from Texas puts Texas above everything.
What I wanted was the return of the Oilers, but f*@k But Adams. That's a hate I'll likely never get over, I hate him like I don't hate anyone. I grew up with the Oilers, they were Houston's team. He could move the players, could take the coaches, but the Oilers should have stayed in Houston.
