Who would you say are the top 5 and in what order?

For me:

1. Rose
2. Deron
3. Paul
4. Rondo
5. Westbrook

This is a general question to whoever:

But why does virtually everyone seem to assume that Rose is better than Westbrook?

I never quite understood that.

Westbrook is very easily arguably as good as Rose.

I'd swap DWill and Rose and would probably swap Rondo and Westbrook.

Most underrated - Kyle ry

Fwiw, Rose and Westbrooks shooting percentages are virtually the same with a slight tilt in Rose's favor.

Westbrook averages half an assist more per game than Rose, but also half a turnover as well. Not to mention that Westbrook gets to play with the best SF in the game not named LeBron James. As mentioned before, Rose has missed his two best post players for a sizable portion of the year and has Keith Bogans as one of his primary running mates.

I haven't been able to watch many Thunder games and when I do I'm mainly focused on what Durant and some other players are doing, so I can't comment on Westbrook's defense, but I do know that Rose is a great perimeter defender and it's not a stretch to say he's in the top 3-5 for starting PGs.

I'd say overall, there stats are virtually similar. I just think it's silly that Rose is assumed #1 and no one would be Westbrook probably top 3, and definitely not 2 or 1.

It's really just people latching onto whatever i popular in the media, IMO.

At the absolute best, Rose is an "ok" defender. I don't see how anyone can go any better than that. Not sure if I've EVER seen anyone say Rose is a good defensive player.

Rose is a better 3 point shooter. Westbrook is better at getting to the line.

I agree that they aren't too far apart, though Rose is the more polished scorer.

Westbrook is underrated on this board. He's freakishly athletic. Just from watching the games he seems to be more athletic than Rose to me, but I know people here disagree. He's the only guy I've seen this year who is noticeably quicker and faster than Lebron and Wade when all three are on the court together.

Yea.

I'm not even saying Westbrook is better nor am I saying anyone is wrong for picking Rose.

i just think it's ridiculous that one is the concensus best and the other is around 4th or 5th on every single list.

I'd say wherever you have one,t he other should be right next to him. They're almost equal, IMO.

FWIW I think Westbrook is a great point guard, he just isn't the best.

I have nothing wrong with this thought.

I just don't get how rose is thought to be clearly better than Westbrook. Because he isn't.
