I am now thinking of applying for analyst job at ESPN, b/c those picks are ridiculous.

Top 5 players in the NBA right now
1.Dirk- look at his playoffs.
2.Dwight Howard-most irreplaceable player out there.
3.Deron Williams-not better than CP3 when he is healthy, but Paul's health issues keep him out of top 5 for me.
4.Dwayne Wade-has flaws and injuries himself, but his game is a joy to watch.
5.Derrick Rose-not my favorite style of play, but he's the reigning MVP
Kobe,LeBron,Paul all have issues now, despite when on, they are all in the top 5.

Because it's their job to be analysts and properly analyze sports, players, their talent, etc.... And they obviously are very poor at their job if they come out with lists like that.
Not to mention people like Skip Bayless lack any sort of objectivity, while Parker loses credibility by flip flopping more than a politician. As a "journalist" or "analyst" you are expected to have an objective expertise, which they don't.

One on one LeBron owned Rose hard, how is he on the list but not James?

Thats your opinion of it... How can you honestly say for a 100% fact who the top 5 players in the NBA are??? It's a matter of OPINION

According to this logic Jason Terry should be on the list because he owned LeBron

I'd switch Wade and Durant, but everything else is spot on.

Also, I can see no logical argument for having Kobe Bryant #1. None.
