5. Justin Morneau, 2008

Josh Hamilton might have stolen the show in Yankee Stadium, but we honor winners in the Stadium of Champions. Justin Morneau weathered the DONG TORNADO of Josh Hamilton and pulled out a LEGENDARY (shoutout to Shady Sanders) dub in the last season on those hallowed grounds. He went on to score the winning run in extra innings the next night for the AL All Stars, cementing his place in lore.

4. Giancarlo Stanton, 2016

BIG G made Petco Canyon look like a t-ball park, DONGING his way to one of the most impressive dubs in the history of the Derby. An average dong length of 446 feet, WOW!

3. Vladdy Guerrero Jr., 2019

Vladdy Jr. followed in Big Daddy Vladdy’s footsteps in winning arguably the best Derby semifinal in history, cranking a SPECTACULAR 29 DONGS in a single round, a Derby record to this day.

2. THE JUDGE, 2017

ALL RISE!!! The young rookie EXPLODED onto the scene, cranking dongs at a rate never before seen en route to breaking the all-time rookie DONG record. The Punisher jacked FOUR DONGS over 500 feet, UNREAL!!! A performance that will echo through generations for the Best Player in Baseball.

1. Jazz Chisholm Jr., 2025

Aura and vibes only! Smoooth Jazz pulled into Atlanta with only one goal in mind: to chill with the boys. While he only cranked three JAZZY DONGS, his infectious aura and unmatched vibes were the stuff of legend. Unbothered. The greatest performance in the history of the Derby belongs to Smooooth Jazz!

Honorable mentions to Derby losers Josh Hamilton and Joc Pederson, having HISTORIC performances that fell just short.

What were some of your favorite DONG DERBY performances? I’ll hang up and listen.

Julio Rodriguez curiously absent and he had a third and sixth highest derby HR total.

Who was the dude from the Phillies (Latin guy) who raked at like an all time clip, only to lose in the finals because he was smoked.

Also, Josh Hamilton probably number one.

Maguire in Fenway is also a challenger for #1.

Didn't Reggie Jackson also hit the lights at old Tiger Stadium in Detroit?

I looked back for Phils and the most recent winner I see was Ryan Howard. My first guess would've been Bobby Abreu but not sure.

Hamilton was one of the more memorable ones for me.

EDIT: Abreu won the year before Howard while with Philly.

Randy Arozarena hit 82 (2nd most ever) and lost 25-23 in the final round to Vlad Jr. But he played for the Rays.

Wrong. You got the number wrong (Vlad hit 40 in the round in 2019) and the record was broken in 2023 by Julio Rodriguez (41).

Vlad holds the record for the most in an entire derby with 91.
