Gene Chizik could win 4 straight BCS NCs and he still wouldn't be considered a top coach. I guess people forget that a HC is only as good as his or her assistants...

North fricking Western is gonna win the Big Ten this year.
And probably beat a better team in the Rose Bowl and Pat Fitzgerald will get the credit he deserves. I wish Ohio State could get him away from NU but that's never gonna happen.

I think they're better under Fitzgerald. he just utterly brings the fire.
If he has a damn good OC(I don't know much about the OC they have now) they will be a contender in the Big Ten for over 20 years.

Walker was certainly a great coach RIP.
Fitzgerald with the name he has built himself in the Midwest is a better recruiter and will only get better.
Northwestern is the Duke of the Midwest and will get some TALENT really soon. In four years they could be a national title contender.

they are hindered like all other elite academic schools who require athletes to be students

Thaey have like 20 returning starters back this year. Not saying they are GREAT but alot of experience coming back for them.
