You must have AJ McCarron in your top 5 best college QBs ever huh...?

Not the same thing. McCarron was consistently surrounded by the same, bluechip talent. Brady's talent has been like a revolving door throughout his entire career.

The 2014 New England Patriots finished 4th in the league in total offense with one of the most pedestrians rosters you will ever see.

A lucky arse bounce turned into a catch which brought Seattle to the goal line. They shouldn't have even been in scoring position, so the call is irrelevant. Ball don't lie and they got the pick.
Winner.

Let's also not forget that one of the most improbable catches ever is the only thing standing between Brady and a thumb ring.

It's much more difficult to argue against Brady than it is to argue for him. Dude won the SB throwing to mostly white guys. Kinda hard to top that.

Rings put him above Rodgers, but Rodgers is the better qb IMO. Rodgers at 100% is the most amazing player on any field.

100% agreed

Agreed.

Now whether he'll have the career to be considered GOAT is yet to be seen. But he is the best I've seen play the position.

I agree with this to an extent but you just can't discount tying for the most SB wins for a QB in the history of the NFL. Winning is what creates legacies.

With a loss last night, I'd still have Brady top 5. But the fact of the matter is he went birzerk in the 4th quarter of the SB. That has to count for something IMO. You certainly can't discount it.

One thing can be said with 100 percent facts backing it up. Brady is the most successful QB ever.

Exactly.

It's not written in stone that Rodgers will win another Super Bowl. When Marino lost to Montana in Super Box XIX everyone thought Marino would be back. We never saw him play in that game again.

When Tom Brady and the Patriots won in Super Bowl XXXVI, who saw them coming back five more times - especially after they went 9-7 the very next season?

You just never know.

yeah bradshaw

every defender on that team is in the HOF, so is his RB, both WRs, Center, and on and on and on

bradshaw was awesome, I think, but he and Montana played on teams that were waaaaaaay more loaded than any one team tom brady has played on

This can't be overlooked.

What do you do when you face arguably the best secondary of all time and clearly the best defense in the NFL? Throw it 50 times for 4 TDs, including 13/15 and 2 TDs in the 4th quarter.

I agree, I really want to see BB hang around long enough to toast that cocksucker shula's record.

I love that conversation because a coach has one job and one job only...win, and belichick is tGOAT of this era by a mile and did so under constraints guys like shula never had to deal with

Brady relied on the defense a lot more in his first 3, but this year, that win is on him.

He fricking killed it when it mattered last night. KILLED IT. He went into another stratosphere in the 4th quarter of the Superbowl playing the best defense and secondary in the league.

I really, I really hope Belichick continues to coach past Brady's departure from the League so we can test this theory.

Matt Cassel circa 2008. His best statistical year under Belichick and McDaniels.

Team went 11-5 but missed the playoffs due to losing conference tiebreaker to the 11-5 Dolphins and wildcard went to 11-5 Ravens (weird year).

It does bare mentioning that Cassel had Welker and Moss to throw to.

Not saying that Cassel could lead them to 4 SB wins or that Brad isn't a great QB but I think a lot of the success points towards how darn good of a coach Bellichick is as much as it pains me to say it.

Brady is great, but not sure if best ever just because he has 4 super bowl wins.

That's like saying Trent Dilfer was a better QB than Dan Marino because he won a super bowl.

I think AJ McCarron/Bradshaw is the best college/pro comparison. Just absurdly stout teams and excellent coaching. Stats didn't light the world on fire, but they executed when they needed to and limited critical mistakes. Neither is in talks for GOAT or anything like that, but they have incredibly successful careers that won't be forgotten.

And both are dumb white trash

No he isnt.

I would say the man who took his team to 10 straight championship games is more successful.
