Btw is freaking hilarious that Aikman is the one to say that.
Agreed. Jimmy Johnson is a Hall of Fame coach and the one who can easily lay the best claim to Troy Aikman's success on the field during the 1990s.

So...between Elway, Bradshaw and the NFL execs, it seems that those who actually know what it's like to lead teams to championships picked Brady over Manning.
So those are the only 2 QBs that "know anything" and those 7 execs are the only smart ones to huh?

You're putting words into my mouth. I simply thought it funny how two former QBs with 6 Super Bowl championships between them, as well as NFL execs whose job it is to see their team win a Super Bowl, prefer Brady over Manning.

BTW, I haven't even picked a side in these arguments, but you cant use the 2 players and 7 execs to pump up Brady and then just act like the 13 HOF QBs don't mean shite

Lol, AJ for best college QB ever!

Qbs have a vested interest in taking super bowl wins out of the discussion for the greatest Qbs of all time list.
Who were the 13?
Marino? Fouts? Tarkinton? Moon? Kelly? Aikman? And then all the old guys right? Guys that all stopped playing before 1980? Good non biased group there.
The only recent Qbs that have won a title and are in the hall abstained or picked Brady. Except for Aikman and he's looking for any way to deflect the criticism he gets on to Brady.
The actual people whose job would be on the line because of the choice overwhelmingly picked Brady.
Fail
Yeah, I just threw Farve in there because if I was gonna have a guy throw a pick six to lose my Conf title game, at least I wanted a guy who had thrown for 350 and a few tds thru those games in the playoffs.
It is amazing how much Peyton drops off in the playoffs. Especially against the Patriots.
Fun fact, one QB has the three highest passing yard totals in the SuperBowl. Who?

First, good job linking an article from 2009. Really timely.
Second, link to the 7 execs picking Brady over Manning please. TIA.

Nevermind, I found the article myself. I would not have linked it either were I you. It was from freaking Bleacher Report! Immediately disregarded as credible in anyway. And those 7 "execs"? Included 6 scouts and a single GM that a Bleacher Report writer reached out to. Really thorough there. I will not link the article because I refuse to give Bleacher Report page views. Nice try, buddy, but you need to do better than that.

I heard he missed practice bc his AIDS cocktail messed with his stomach.

Ok, all I have to do is take the other side of your argument and say that the 2 QBs who picked Brady put far too much weight on SB wins because they won multiple and want people to call them the best because of that.
See how easy that was?
And why do the QBs before 1980 have to be "biased"?

I always wonder how Manning would be viewed if:
His defense had held twice, both times Manning led his team down field (less than 3 minutes) to either tie or take the lead only to see his defense allow opposing team to march back down.
Twice Vanderjact missed FG's that could have taken the lead or won the game for the Colts
Had these 4 things gone Mannings way his playoff record would be different obviously and he would have moved further in playoffs.
Growing up when I did I've had the privilege to watch Marino, Montana, Young, Manning, and Brady 5 QB's that each have an argument for greatest ever. Kinda amazing really

I can play this opinion game as well. (even though I agree Brady is the most overrated QB in the last 25 years)
