Kevin O'Connor @KevinOConnorNBA Russell Westbrook is making $43.8 million per the next three seasons, and the Lakers defense barely defends him in the half-court. He's past his athletic prime, one of the worst shooters in the NBA, and an undeniably poor fit with James Harden. Where do the Rockets go from here?

You'll have to attach assets to it and get back crumbs at this point.

We'll take crumbs as it is better than the stale bread that's been given to us for years now

The Harden-Westbrook duo was hyped to high heaven and now people are saying it was never going to be good?

as much as I agree with this. gotta question something about maybe its also harden.

CP3 had a seemingly resurgent career after being traded and looks like a whole different player without harden.

Harden used to be a good player off the ball. He doesn't move now unless he's handling the ball. An offense that would have him cutting to the basket and just moving in general would do him wonders.

Theres ample evidence at point of other high level players being substantially worse when they play with harden. It’s not shocking jimmy butler ghosted him and other high level players have no interest in going to Houston in FA

There have been rumbles in coaching circles for weeks that the Rockets will strongly consider Jeff Van Gundy to replace Mike D’Antoni if they make a coaching change

GM Daryl Morey, remember, had interest in rehiring Van Gundy when Houston hired D’Antoni instead in May 2016

No way Jeff van Gundy meshes with that roster. I wonder if Morey will even be back. Frittata licking his chops to blow it up and lower payroll
