It doesn't matter. Going for those huge chunk plays after dinking and dunking wasted too much time. Best case they would have had maybe 15-18 seconds left after a recovery.

If you are that close, go for the TD bc you’re not going to have a better shot at the TD you need

There was 12 seconds left. They had to get the kick. Dak would have wasted 2 or 3 more just looking for the TD.

Agreed. If they core a TD there then there’s likely 6 seconds left. Not enough time to get onside kick, get in FG range and make the kick.
