As bad as Weeden's been up until that point, he was really good that drive. And the line's been opening up some holes for Trent.

It's really difficult to feed the ball to a rookie back (even if it is Trent Richardson) against Baltimore's defense. You need to be able to threaten them with the pass as well.

Richardson's had a couple games with YPC of like 2. The line's not good enough to just feed him the ball with no pass threat (whose line is really?). I'm actually a bit surprised by how well their line has been run blocking tonight.

You're right in that he should've been picked off. With that said, Richardson will never be effective if the D doesn't somewhat respect wheden
