New guy said something I don't like

1. accuse them of being an alter.
2. beg admins to ban them

As predictable as death & taxes

The playoffs are not ever going away but they’re going to have to do a better job of selling them and, especially, scheduling them to avoid conflicts.

Because the basic issue with college football is that there are very few fans of “college football in general” no matter how many people might claim they are. People are passionate about their particular teams, and if their particular teams aren’t playing they’re not going to go out of their way to watch. You’re going to have to make it easy for them.

Except the actual viewership numbers have determined this to be a lie.

Needs to moved back at least a week. 8 teams. Finish up the weekend after the new year.

Yep. Waiting two weeks after the conference championships is stupid. It should at least be moved up a week so it starts the week after them, if they even want to keep playing those games

First time in a very, very long time, maybe ever, that I completely skipped the national championship game.

Zero regrets.

According to an ESPN announcement on Monday, the Chiefs vs. Texans AFC Divisional Round matchup was the most-watched NFL game ever. According to Nielsen Fast Nationals reports, it amassed 32.7 million viewers. This stat includes playoff and regular season games dating back to 1987, breaking new ground for the long-running network.

Well, those teams did beat the #1,#2,#3,#4,#5,#6 Ranked Teams
Funny how you ignore that part.

I wonder how that would have played out had the teams with byes got to play on campus as opposed to a neutral site?

Trying to make Notre Dame happen like it's 1974.

Funny how that works

Any ratings or data to back that up? Or just talking out of your arse because he offended your delicate sensibilities?

7 weeks from last regular season game to championship game is absurd

A day after the NFL playoffs is a losing battle. ESPN has all the reason to hype the college game but they're not gonna ignore their golden goose making the college game an afterthought.

Especially when neither team that was in the championship game had to deal with a conference championship game.

OSU lost to Michigan on November 30th, then didn't have a game for 3 weeks. Then another week and a half between the next 3 rounds. I get it that the competition should be more stiff in a playoff, but 4 games in almost 2 months is too long. Notre Dame was the same.

it’s NBA playoffs level absurd for football where fans expect games weekly
