Roger Maris has a plaque and he's not a HOFer
So does Elston Howard, Thurman Munson, Ron Guidry, Billy Martin, and Don Mattingly.

The pope has a plaque too.

I think being a saint qualifies him for being in the HOF.
As for Munson...
7× All-Star (1971, 1973–1978)
2× World Series champion (1977, 1978)
AL MVP (1976)
AL Rookie of the Year (1970)
3× Gold Glove Award (1973–1975)
New York Yankees captain (1976–1979)
New York Yankees #15 retired
If he does not die in the wreck he walks into Cooperstown. Actually surprised they havent put him in yet.

Graig Nettles should get a plaque if they are putting in Tino

Nettles was captain before Mattingly right?

All three popes that celebrated Mass in the (old) stadium have one:

Yes and Paul O'Neil will get one as well... Tino played 7 years for the Yankees and while he was a big part of several championship teams he doesn't deserve a plaque....
Save those for Jeter, Mo, Posada, and Andy (Bernie has one)
Bernie does not have a plaque
LINK
And Jeter and Mo deserve monuments in addition to plaques

While the Yankees also announced that Bernie Williams would be honored in 2015, from the outside it appears ridiculous that he should have to wait behind either of his former teammates. Under Torre, O’Neill and Martinez played key roles for a team that won four World Series and five pennants in six seasons (1996-2001), but Williams — the only one of the trio to spend his entire career in pinstripes — was both the vanguard of their turnaround from a 13-season stretch (1982-94) without a playoff appearance and still a key member of their 2003 pennant-winning squad. He towers over the other two with regards to his place in Yankees history.
I remembered it when I read the article from awhile ago

It doesn't appear to be ridiculous, it is ridiculous.
Has there been anything released explaining the logic behind this slight?
