I think the word seduce is wrong here, clearly it would be rape.

Well, I didn't see anything in the grand jury document (unless I'm forgetting some details) that spelled out rape. Molestation, definitely.

He didn't seem as bold at home as at the PSU facilities. So many red flags, though, that must have gone noticed.

I would have to go back and read it again, and I'm definitely not doing that shite, but I'm pretty sure there was Oral Battery committed in his home.

And about being more bold at the PSU facilities, YES! That's what has been eating at me all day. He seemed to have quite the pattern developed with the boys at PSU

On "Victim 1" from the Grand Jury Report:
quote:

Sandusky took the boy to restaurants, swimming at a hotel near Sandusky's home, and to church.

Yep. Now that I think about it, you're right about that one.

As terrible as Sandusky is, and the ONLY way he could be is if he also murdered the kids outright, the complete and utter failure of all the adults involved is literally incomprehensible. Those poor kids will never trust anyone and, honestly, I don't blame them. For once in my life the statement "the system failed them" is true.

The whole thing is tragic. It is clear that some at Penn State(Paterno) still do not get it. He is still talking about the University, as if that is all that is important. "Doing what ever he can to help the University"

I think he will plead guilty, no matter what he will be in prison the rest of his life.

That's not going to be a good time for a 67 year old pleading guilty to multiple child rapes. He won't even be safe in the protected population.

He'll stall as long as he can, legally.

Death penalty for PSU IMO

The people involved should be punished, no need to take it out on everyone else.

I am tryinjg to comprehend the events related above. I just cannot imagine what has happened. How could you go to work every day and see someone there who you had information had raped a young boy? I don't care whether he was working directly with you or not. How could you look at the guy?

There's no need for the death penalty, anyway. The football team won't be able to recruit effectively for years.

After reading the Grand Jury report, everyone in Penn State's program needs to go.

From top to bottom, everyone. Even the janitors. And that isn't a joke. Janitors saw him blowing a 10 year old kid and they didn't do anything about it either. How not a SINGLE person just picked up the phone, dialed 911, and said "uh, yeah, there's an old frick molesting children. can you send someone out here?" just baffles me.

I can't wait to hear about how many people knew/tolerated/tried to cover this up. This is the biggest scandal in all of sports. Ever.

Not at all. Nothing to do with the NCAA.

Some of the stuff I was reading was saying that he was giving them gifts, including taking them to PSU events... aren't some of the kids at a recruiting age? I would be surprised if the NCAA doesn't do anything...

As I remember it, the janitor was a "temp", who reported it to his superior. The superior told him to report it to "others" if he felt inclined. Janitor chose not to report it out of fear for his job. The janitor now has dementia and is not eligible to testify.

How do people see shite like this and simply report it to a superior, and do nothing else? Then months later, the POS is still working for the U and walking around the facilities with more little kids and you still dont do a damn thing about it? Unreal.

We all hate on journalism and reporting, but it's stories like these that I like journalism. Because reporters across the country are going to keep digging and searching until they find out more. There's a lot more to this story.

Actually, the Chairman of the BOT is about to get ousted. From the article he's "the former Penn State treasurer and vice president for finance and operations." Basically an administration insider, unlike many of the Trustees.

Apparently he is close to Spanier, Curley, and Schultz and has known about the investigation and allegations for a while; however, he failed to inform approximately 2/3rds of the BOT about the impending indictment. In fact, most of the BOT didn't learn about the allegations until this weekend when it was made public. This is the reason for the early confusion and the failure to react as quickly as a lot of people wanted.

Spring 2008: Termination of contact with Victim 1 occurs when he is a freshman in a Clinton County high school. After the boy's mother calls the school to report sexual assault, Sandusky is barred from the school district attended by Victim 1 from that day forward and the matter is reported to authorities as mandated by law.

Early 2009: An investigation by the Pennsylvania attorney general begins when a Clinton County, Pa. teen boy tells authorities that Sandusky has inappropriately touched him several times over a four-year period.

Why did it take 9 months to start the investigation?
