Death penalty for PSU IMO
Not at all. Nothing to do with the NCAA.
Some of the stuff I was reading was saying that he was giving them gifts, including taking them to PSU events... aren't some of the kids at a recruiting age? I would be surprised if the NCAA doesn't do anything...

Road Closed per WAFB LINK
"LA 327 (River Road) from ½ mile south of Brightside Lane, (just south of BREC Farr Park Equestrian Center) driveway, approximately 7/10 of a mile will be CLOSED. This is due to water seepage area along the levee. This closure will be for the duration of the high water period.
No through traffic will be allowed. No permit or oversized loads will be allowed.
DOTD state detour routes will be Skip Bertman Drive on the northern end and Gardere Lane on the southern end of the closure.
DOTD appreciates your patience and reminds you to please drive with caution in the area and be on the lookout for work crews and their equipment."

From Athletic Department: LINK
LSUsports.net Among Stolen University Domains:
Fans Encouraged to Visit LSUsports.com
BATON ROUGE - On Nov. 25, LSU's domain registry account was accessed illegally from outside of the country and several university domains were transferred to a third-party account and subsequently cancelled.
As a result, many visitors to these domains including the athletics department's official website, LSUsports.net, are being directed to the marketing homepage for available domains of GoDaddy.com.
Fans are encouraged to visit www.LSUsports.com in the interim, as LSU works with the domain provider to resolve the issue as quickly as possible. LSUsports.net is not available for purchase and will be returned to the University's control shortly.
Geaux Zone members and other fans who use LSUsports.net should be aware that there was no breach of account security nor website information in any manner.

re: LSU AD Clearly Does Not Understand Economic Substitution: Parking
Posted by howboutdemhornets on 11/23/10 at 11:04 am to The Future
Park in one of the free lots (like the ag center/kirby smith/law center etc).... or if you live by campus... you could always walk........ just saying
when i go to away games, i pay to park... this is something that would/should have always happened regardless of budget cuts... it's another way to generate revenue and that makes sense to me...
FWIW: I wish the cost was lower, but I think they looked at what they already charge for parking and tried to stay in line with that (in regards to proximity to stadium)

For the Record: Clarifications & Commentaries from LSU
2010 LSU Football on TV
A fan website has erroneously reported that CBS has announced all of its game times and that many of LSU's games have been moved to the daytime. The report is wrong. As has been the long-standing procedure, the starting times for any games after the third week of the season are not determined until two weeks before the game. The only home game time that has been determined for television so far for 2010 is LSU's game against Mississippi State on September 18. No other games have yet been moved for television.
The tradition of night football at LSU is among the best traditions in all of college sports. But because of LSU's membership in the SEC, LSU does not determine the time of its games. Game times are determined by the television networks. It is a requirement of every school in the SEC. It is important to note that every LSU home game last season - the first year under the new 15-year CBS/ESPN agreement - was played at night. Under the new TV agreements there are more opportunities to play televised games at night than ever before.
It remains to be seen what time games will be played this year. Game times will be posted at www.LSUsports.net immediately upon notification that a game time has been determined.
