I'm good with that list. Glad Watson and Vardon made it.

The people putting Lefty in the top ten last thread are retarded IMO.

ETA: Paste the list in OP

Love to see 10-20.

Have to say, Trevino, Faldo, Seve and Lefty are on that list?

Norman didn't win a bunch of Majors, but he was a dominant force for over a decade.

I agree with the list.

Would like the youngun's to notice that except for a couple they were all contemporaries with Nicklaus.

I struggle believing that 9 of the 10 best golfers ever were born before 1950. I think what it really shows is how much harder its been to win consistently in the modern game.i can't argue with those names though except I'd find a spot for lefty and put tiger at 1. I also think jones is too high. Byron Nelson maybe too low.

I'm a big Lee Trevino fan so I would have him tied for 10th Watson in place of Vardon.

I agree with this. Golf tends to honor and "respect" its elders more than any other sport.

At times, they really go overboard

He's #9 on the all time PGA Tour Wins list now and you can add to his resume the US Amateur championship and 3 NCAA individual Championships.

He's still got some wins left and will be knocking on the door of top 5 all time.

1. Sam Snead *82tour win 7 majors
2. Tiger Woods 78 14 majors
3. Jack Nicklaus 73 18 majors
4. Ben Hogan 64 9 majors
5. Arnold Palmer 62 7 majors
6. Byron Nelson 52 5 majors
7. Billy Casper 51 3 majors
8. Walter Hagen 45 11 Majors
0. Phil Mickelson 42 5 Majors

I was born in 1947 so I got to see some of those on the list during their career. I'm OK with their position. Who would you put on the list that was born after 1950?

Billy Casper is far and away the most underrated and underappreciated player in the history of the game.
