Don't quote me, but I'm fairly certain he's a member of the Euro Tour. I don't think he could play on the Euro's Ryder Cup team if he was a member of the PGA Tour.

This is right. Many of the Euros are. Anyone that played in the Players Championship is definitely a PGA Tour member. I remember 2 years ago that Rory didn't play because he opted not to have PGA Tour status.

Not sure how you can guarantee that. If he really gave no fricks, he wouldn't have tweeted about it. Maybe he's tweeting about it solely to play the victim role in all of this. While that's being a dick, it's still giving a frick.

Pretty sure you have to hold PGA Tour status to play in the Players. That's why Mcilroy and a couple of other Euros skipped it 2 years ago when they didn't have cards. They didn't join because the tour was requiring them to play x amount if events and they wanted to play in Europe too. They couldn't commit to all of those events and meet the minimum number.

No, you get in if you won an event during the last year on the pga tour, if you won a major in the last five years or if your in the top 50 in the world among other criteria. You do not need to be a pga tour member. Hell the senior players champ gets into the players and usually he's not a pga tour member

Honestly, though, why can't Tiger play the victim here? He was the butt of a racist joke that was clearly over the line and made in the media. If Sergio had said this in the locker room and Tiger overheard it then tweeted about it, you'd have a point.

Ok he can. I just find it hypocritical for him to tweet how hurtful it was ... And I can promise you that you have not heard the last of tiger on this matter. I called it last night, he will play it up to a tee.
