Don't feel bad. You have to make a pick that is illogical because it happens every year. I picked Arkansas to beat UNC. Stupid off the hoof, but it wouldn't be the ddumbest thing ever.

I've begun to realize over the years that to win the bracket competitions you have to pick some random arse team to make it to the elite eight/final four.

Correct, it is a must. If you only pick the best teams you will lose for sure.
I have Rhode Island going to the elite 8 also. Saw them play multiple times lately on CBS sports and they are fully healthy and absolutely loaded.
