I also forgot how damn good Dwayne Jarrett was. He looked so badass with the rose tinted visor. Love that everyone was still rocking Oakley visors too.

The skill position players get all the pub, but we had a bad arse Oline that year. I still can't believe we chocked that game away.

05 usc and 01 Miami probably had the 2 best offensive lines in college football history.

Also, I have no problem with the 4th down handoff to lendale. Rewatch any usc game from that era, 4th and short was always lendale time. He scored a td on 4th and short in the third quarter.

Easily the best non-BCS game in recent LSU memory.

Bitch please. Texas would've beaten you SOUNDLY that year. They were a freight train that couldn't be stopped.

USC pissed the game away

The true turning of the tide in that game was Reggie Bush's stupid lateral that was recovered by Texas. The Trojans were about to go up 14-0. Texas wasn't stopping USC's offense early on.

Vince Young knee down (no replay) but called a TD on 3rd down.

This is how people with a selective memory choose to think about the game I guess.

It was 1st down, and the result should have been 1st and 10 Texas from USC's 10 yardline. It's very likely Texas scores on that drive anyways.

Then on Vince Young's final drive he is about to get intercepted on a big 2nd down play but the USC guy just bats the ball down instead of picking it off.

Don't remember this happening either. Link?

Well I guess selective memory goes both ways.

Everyone seems to think Texas last drive was awesome.

Young threw a dumbass pass that should have been intercepted but was just batted down instead by the USC defender.

And once again the game could have been ended by a bad USC defense on a 4th down at the very end.

The stats for the game are almost exactly the same with USC having 20 more yards of offense and 1 more turnover.

That was the difference in the game.

But selective memory is that Texas and VY were just too awesome. Which is the exact opposite of how the game played out.

They showed the play tonight. Some Chinese dude just slaps it down. It should have ended the game.

Best college football game in my memory.

It had it all. Rose Bowl, elite talent, Keith Jackson

The other one I knew didn't happen. That one I just didn't remember which is why I asked for a link. I remembered Vince throwing a stupid pass that was almost picked, but didn't remember if it was on the last drive or not.

It's dumb to argue Vince wasn't awesome in that game. USC definitely made a couple mistakes, but it's not like Texas was perfect either. They just ended up making the plays when it mattered.

I think the play that doesn't get enough talk was the 5 yard facemask on the final drive that prevented Texas from facing a 4th down and 4 or so early on that drive.
