The beloved Joe Louis knocked Lena Horne unconscious & 'roughed up' some women.

Carlos Monzon was repeatedly arrested for domestic violence & actually killed a wife or girlfriend.

Mile Tyson 'popped' Robin Givens admittedly-

Jake LaMotta frequently beat wife.

Violent men attracted to a violent sport. Women attracted to violent men.

Yep. Apparently he's a pretty shitty congressman as well. But the "good vs. evil" narrative sells tickets and copy.

I'd be pretty offended if I were the religious type by Pacquiao with him saying God this and God that every 5 seconds. He uses his religion to manipulate the public, though I guess that's not surprising with him being a politician.

Or both.

Shouldn't that be Kobe? That's an analogy that would work pretty neatly

Don't forget he RAPED SOMEONE.

But put him in The Hangover and now he's beloved.

This is always interesting to me. Floyd, Tiger, Vick, etc. All with varying degrees of problems, Tiger obviously being in a lesser category.

But I just don't really get the concept of rooting for the best to be the best. I enjoy watching the greats, but actively rooting for someone just because they're already the best at something? What kind of weird hero worship shite is that?

Sugar Ray Robinson (considered GOAT P4P) did not mind putting his hands on anyone male or female either.

I believe Sugar Ray beatings(according to a documentary I saw) were allegedly the reason for several miscarriages.

Jake LaMotta had perhaps one of the greatest sports films ever written in his honor. It pointed out his domestic violence.

Violent men attracted to violent sport. Women attracted to violent(rich) men.

Not condoning any of their nonsense, but to wait on May 2nd 2015 to protest....

This, tbh.

For the record, I have no dog in this fight. Just hope it's a good match with no controversy.

I'm rooting for Pac for one reason only. If he wins, this turns into a 2 or 3 fight epic. If Money wins, we sit back and wait god knows how long until another superfight comes along.

I'm not going to hate AD on the field because he beat his kid, that has no relevance to football.

I will, the NFL shouldn't let him come back.
