I wouldn’t blame this on officiating. It certainly wasn’t horrible officiating. The rule is stupid, but the ref made the right call according to the rule book.

It's a judgement call, meaning the official has to judge whether or not the behavior was within the spirit of the rule.

Shite officiating.

Officiating has become horrible in the last couple of years. I guess this is technically the correct call but it's a stupid rule. Should have at least got his moneys worth and did a Deon Sanders dance down the sideline.

No, it really isn't. He wasn't facing players or taunting them. It was a home cooking call, plain and simple....thats a clear version of cheating refs. If playing in Tulsa, that isn't called, period.

They ended up with a field goal. Then lost by 4. I didn't watch, but from the box score it seems like that made a big difference.

Wing's wasn't anything like this one. Wing was textbook; this one is ridiculous to throw a flag.

Wonder if this official's parents were Bama boosters too.

Is that like saying "his death was more gruesome because he was riddling with gun fire instead of a single knife wound"?
