Maybe because they haven't been this good or had this much optimism for awhile? Last year was a complete surprise in terms of making the playoffs. We made the Harden trade RIGHT before the season started, and before that everyone assumed a very bad team after just shaking off the roster from T-Mac/Yao years. Even though we got Harden there wasn't optimism about their chances in the immediate, but there was a hope they were still waiting to make more moves. So you couple the expected bad start from last year with the fact that 90% of Houston cannot watch any Rockets games, along with the fact that the Rockets really weren't very good for the first half of the season, and yes there really hasn't been much to talk about until the Dwight deal, and now the season has started and people are following the Rockets again for the first time in awhile.

Really now? I don't remember the Falcons winning any Super Bowls, but I do remember the Rockets winning championships. Also, you're a Saints fan, so you come from the perspective of a team that's won a championship, now as a pels fan you are the nobody, you are the wannabe just like the Falcons who didn't win a playoff game for about 10 years until last year. The Rockets have been there and done that. If anything the Pels are closer to the Falcons due to record (both losing record) and little to no history of success.
