Not flaming, but why? If they have the same credentials why is MJ so much better than Kobe? Is it because Nike and Gatoraide put all their advertising dollars behind him and made him the most talked about player in history? He was a great player, awesome player. But he was just one player. Why can't another player be just as good as MJ and win as many championships as MJ?

There is no argument here.

I'm not wasting my time on this. I can link stat after stat after stat.

i luv kobe, anyone on this board will tell you that, but even if he get's 1 more before retirement...he's still #2. i'm sorry.

When Adam Morrison jumps in the water, he doesn't get wet...the water gets Morrison.

Adam Morrison will be the star of SPACE JAM 2. BOOK IT.

If jordan doesn't leave after his 3rd to play baseball he wins 4 straight. Possibly 8 straight.

Kobe couldn't even be jordans golf caddy

There is always argument. Is it the NBA MVP's? Because MJ only had Hakeem Olajuwon, Charles Barkley and David Robinson to contend with. Kobe has Shaq, LeBron (who is probably overhyped), Tim Duncan and Steve Nash to compete with.

I just think people always overvalue the past (MJ) and future (LeBron and Adam Morrison ) and undervalue the present (Kobe). Just my opinion.

LOL. He was THERE IN 1995.

Wow. Not including his months of conditioning training before his return, Jordan was playing for IN GAMES for 3 months BEFORE he lost in 1995. after playing in another professional sport.

The 1994 TEAM was great, as evidenced by them almost making the Finals WITHOUT JORDAN.

I wouldn't say great, Scottie Pippen wasn't no Jordan, plain and simple, and showed it by selfishly sitting on the bench.

I was referring to the team as in the players that would have surrounded Jordan had he been there. Had the 1994 Bulls team had an average SG, they would have won it all without Jordan. That's how good that team was.

coming in at the half way point and playing an entire season are two different things. It wasnt like the man was constantly playing ball. He was coming from baseball and had to return to form which he didnt do till the following season when he began another run of 3 straight championships. Get kobes dick out of your mouth for just a few minutes and try to understand that.

I'm tellin you, just heard him arguing on First Take.

he also said Kobe wants to be MJ by jumping up on the table and celebrating with the fans like Mike used to do.

Forget that they added Rodman to replace Grant and Kukoc gained conditioning and NBA experience. Yeah, Jordan had EVERYTHING to do with that last 3 peat.

Come on dude, just because you love Kobe don't let hate cloud your mind. It was because of Jordan and there is no arguing that.
