That’s not the point though baw. Anything can get coverage. BK pulling the team into the dealership lot for pregame walkthrough got coverage today but you think that is worthy of an argument here?

At the end of the day you and I both know how this season’s story for CU is most likely going to end. If CU has an unreal season, I’m talking 10 wins+ I’ll tip my cap to ya. But to sit up here and act like coaches haven’t turned programs around in a year with similar results to what Prime is doing is laughable

If they go bowling then you should tip your cap.

Do yall not realize how terrible a program it was that he took over?

How many people from that team are around?

I never acted like that. Colorado is probably going 8-4 or 7-5 this year.

But, let’s be real here, the majority of the anger over Colorado is from hardcore college football fans (mostly white middle aged and old dudes) that a brash black dude is not compromising who he has always been to head coach a P5 school to some modicum of success. Not necessarily accusing you of being mad about that, but for the majority of the people, it’s not too hard to crack the code.

Me personally, I find Deion annoying, but I can’t hate a dude for playing the exposure game the way he plays it. We already know in this world that eyeballs are currency and the way Deion has operated in his short time at CU has brought a lot of eye balls to Boulder. Everyone would be doing the same in his situation.

Yeah we frickin realize

But this isn’t 2005 anymore with NIL and the transfer portal. Turning programs around isn’t a 3/4 year process anymore

Absolutely. CU is vastly improved, but anyone who has watched their first three games, and is being honest with themselves, knows they're lucky to be undefeated right now.

I think this is 100% true, but at the same time there’s a lot more people that don’t like CU because of what I’ve talked about. The problem is people that dislike what is going on with CU get lumped into that group immediately. It’s no different than me saying people who are on the Deion train are black people. It’s retarded

But why shouldn’t Deion drive as much attention as he possibly can to what he is doing at Colorado?

I think for Deion’s sake he’s doing everything mostly right too and I can’t fault him. I just don’t think he’s really a good coach at all but a damn good recruiter and motivator which can take him pretty far if he understands that. He’s riding the wave and if I were him I would probably do the same. But it still doesn’t mean I have to like it

You don’t have to tip your cap to him, but you don’t have to be this bothered by him either.

If you haven’t noticed, they’re constantly lowering the standards to credit Deion. An OT victory at home against what might be the worst team in CFB and some of these morons are making comparisons to the 2019 LSU Tigers

I’m bothered by the media crowning. I’m not bothered by Deion.

Because the program has sucked for the better part of two decades, and posters said it would be a mistake for Deion to take the job when he was first rumored as a candidate.

You did. Shocker. What do you think was the basis for his $95 million dollar contract?

For him and CU he should be doing this, but that doesn’t mean it’s “good”. The smartest move Deion can make here is to get a couple of years or more out of CU and then bolt for a new job. His schtick doesn’t seem like it will last long term unless he turns the dial a bit

Nobody has done that.

Some have made parallels to antics made by 2019 LSU that didn't get the same amount of vitriol on this board that the same antics by CU are getting.

There's a difference.

You don’t remember all the articles about how he was a pioneer for black head coaches?

You mean the one that all of the media made fun of?
