This is by far the worst sports scandal in American history. We seem to be peeling back a cult of media dominance and sick underground society of trash. Absolutely disgusting.

ol wut?
I've never said I believed in any conspiracy theories regarding anything.
I don't see how it's so unreasonable to think the DA's disappearance could be connected to this seemingly massive cover up orchestrated by a few sick people.

A Pittsburgh alum and donor claiming this Sandusky did?
Has he not be on the money so far?

I am not defending the guy so let's make that clear. All I'm saying is he told his superiors about what he saw and they obviously sat on the info. As morally wrong as it was to walk away from the shower situation, I'm having a hard time figuring out how you legally fire him? What is his firable offense?
Again, I am just trying to figure out why he is on the sideline also? Maybe they have no grounds to fire him?

most contracts at that level have a moral turpitude clause.
Done.

He has I'm not doubting that.

I'm willing to bet a few bucks that its because he was paid off and told to shut up. If they fire him and try to make him a scapegoat then he will talk.
If the new people in charge are serious about cleaning this shitstorm up, then him talking will be a good thing. If they continue to keep him quiet, then they aren't doing what is right.

quote:It's not about legal grounds at this point. They are trying to salvage any shred of decency for the program, though I would say all of that is futile now. It has more to do with the fact that NO ONE did more to stop the beast. Those who were in a position to take action did very little, including and starting with the two people who witnessed acts by the beast. Telling someone else is just passing the buck. They witnessed a serious crime and did not go to the police.
Maybe they have no grounds to fire him?

Done?
You think? He could turn right back around and sue the shite out of them. Maybe that's why he is on the sidelines.

This is now being reported on the talk radio I'm listening to now. The civil suits alone may end Penn State if true.

You can fire anybody at anytime for almost any reason. Pennsylvania, like 48 of the other 49 states, is an at-will work state. As long as race/gender/religion etc isn't a motivating factor, they can fire him anytime.

Bradley (interm HC) just said that Mike McQueary (the GA who caught Sandusky in '98, now WR coach) will be coaching on Saturday....
Is anyone really surprised? Firing Joe Paterno will have no affect on the football team. But, they can't fire McQueary. He actually coaches during games. They still can win the Big 10 and play in the Rose Bowl.

If PSU forfeits the Nebraska game as speculated on that Rivals board, imagine the rioting. Drunken students roaming the campus raping, pillaging burning ect.
