Adam Peters, 'Skins GM, just said it on Pat McAfee when discussing the facility improvements from the Snyder ownership to the new regime. Also pointed out the difference in NFLPA player scores from 23-24 and that a new locker room is being built right now.

quote:

"We had an Astroturf field here until last year. I couldn't believe it."

Needless to say, the field has since been replaced.

The ownership still scored a "B" in 2023 even though the ownership is responsible for all of the other bad grades?

Correction: I see now the ownership changed in 2023 absorbed the poorly graded aspects.

By all accounts Snyder was as big of a shitbag as the media made him out to be.

The guy razed a nationally protected forest behind his house just so he could have a view of the Potomac

But certain people will tell you until they are blue in the face that the only reason he was considered a bad owner is because he wanted to keep the redskins name.

The last time an NFL game was played on Astroturf was 2005.

Why would they practice on something 20 years out of date?

Also significantly increased injury chance.

So you’re practicing on a surface with no game preparation benefit, but a much higher ACL tear likelihood.

The NFLPA report card is a scam and witch hunt toward certain owners, noted excellent NFL owner Woody Johnson said it himself.

That game was played in San Antonio because of Katrina, so not an NFL stadium.

I think the last NFL stadium to use it regularly was at least a year or two before that

Yep, the RCA Dome in Indy and the Edward Jones Dome in St. Louis both switched over to Field Turf for the 2004 season. They were the last two to have the gen 1 style turf.
