This reminds me of that Joker vs. Simon match when Joker had 100 unforced errors and won.

It seems ever time Novak Chokeabitch gets his serve broken he immediately gets the break back.

Monfils mucks his way to win the set. Goodnight, boys. If I had to bet my life on this match now, I really don't know who I'd pick.

Goodnight buddy ,I’m pretty sure Novak wins in 4 sets. It’s hard to beat Chokeabitch on hard court.

The level of tennis has picked up

Gael might have to call it quits.

Wonder what’s the reason they don’t close the roof

They were saying it was unfair to the other courts and want it to be a true outdoor tournament as much as possible. That if the outer courts had to play in it, why should the top seeds get the break.

Shapo is toast.

Crazy that Tsonga made the final here 10 years ago. Has pretty much stayed a top 10-15 player ever since.

There's not other way to characterize what happened than as a classic choke job by Shapo.

That said, I still love the kid's game, and think he will win majors.

I mostly just appreciate him now, though, in his elder stages.

He should have ditched Uncle Toni years ago. He's playing more aggressive with moya. Shortening points.

And re: grinding: yes, Rafa can grind out anybody, but it's unfair and inaccurate to use such a term in a way to attempts to paint him as a player with limited lifts. Because dude has (arguably) the best volleys on tour, I don't know that I've ever seen him miss an overhead, and his serve is even pretty good when he really gets dialed in on it.

In other words, I think he would have been a fine player as a pure serve and volleyers. He has the gifs to excel playing such a style.
