Wimbledon is his best shot. However, Djoker & Murray will definitely stand in his way, though.

I was making fun because the guy called it majors instead of grand slams. Golf is played on grass....

That's a weird thing to make fun of considering it's the clearer terminology. People use "major" and "grand slam" interchangeably nowadays, but "grand slam" technically (and originally) refers to the achievement of winning all four majors in a calendar year.

The more I look at Rafa's draw, the more I think it's favorable for him.

The oddsmakers seem to think that KA presents a real threat -- Rafa's only a 3-1 favorite -- but I just don't see it happening. Assuming he wins that, he'll get the winner of Berdych and Tomic. Rafa's never really had problems with Berdych (he hasn't lost to him since he was a teenager, and he's beaten him 14 straight times), and do you really see Tomic beating Rafa with that junky game?*

Assuming he gets past that round, he's got one of Murray, Dimitrov, Kyrgios, or Seppi. Rafa has a great record against Murray; if Fed can't beat him then how's Baby Fed gonna do it; Seppi would have 0% chance of beating him, and I don't know that Kyrgios can replicate his Wimby magic on a hard court.

At that point, he'd be in the finals. I think you gotta like his chances to get there.

_____________
*Actually, I don't really know if Tomic is a good matchup for Rafa or not. I'm gonna think on it.

Yeah, Rafa will stomp Anderson, who is just a poor man's Berdych. That leaves Berdych in the quarters, who is playing very well. But, he is kind of a Rafa pigeon and just doesn't match up well with Rafa. Once the point goes four or five shots, Rafa grinds him down and wins it. All of that said, I think Murray is winning this tournament.

I love this sparkplug playing Venus. She has a trashy Euro hooker look.

Steve Johnson and Kei should be on sometime in the middle of the night.

Venus looks to be going down. Giorgi does have a trashy look to her.

I'm a big fan of that look. It's why I've always found Radwanska strangely attractive.

It will be incredibly late here, but I'm probably gonna try to stay up and watch Stevie and John tonight. I would love for at least one American to get a W. Glad to see Venus and Serena won tonight. I hope Madison can pull off the upset as well.

She has a bright future either way. She beats the shite out of the ball.

Feli hit a handful of nasty volleys to close out that set.

Lopez beats Jerzy in 3 sets

Figured Lopez would win in 5, but Lopez played great.

We desperately need it.

Since Roddick's retirement run to the 4th Rd of the US Open in 2012, we've only had one American reach the 4th Rd of a Slam since (Isner, 2014 French). That's just pathetic.
