The Titans are 5-1 since Tannehill took over, can they make the playoffs?

They currently sit a game behind Houston in the Division, are behind the Bills in the wildcard race, even with Pittsburgh (behind due to the tiebreaker), and a game ahead of Oakland and Indy
Their next 4 games:
@ Oakland
v Houston
v New Orleans
@ Houston
3 games against direct competition for a playoff spot. The running game has really come on strong down the stretch, but that's a brutal schedule to end the season. I think they have to win at least two of those. It's not inconceivable that Pittsburgh finishes 1-3. Who do you like in that last AFC wildcard spot? It will almost certainly come all the way down to week 17, which is shaping up to potentially determine several division winners.
Titans @ Texans
49ers @ Seahawks
Week 16 will feature Packers/vikings and Cowboys/Eagles. Kudos to the scheduling this year. I don't see a way that any team has the option to sit players in week 17

Just goes to show you for these QBs, the situation matters. A lot.

I'm now curious if they think RT is a long term answer

Mariota should have been switched to receiver the moment he declared from Oregon.

Henry bulldozing Ds to the tune of 720 yards and 8 total TDS during that span certainly helps any QB. Dudes a GD Mack Truck.

How much of that success is Tannehill not throwing away their chances like Mariotta?
If your run game is good, Tannehill’s main job becomes “don’t lose it for us.”

His completion percentage and TD to INT ratio as a starter have been great.

certainly could. tannehill had some good years in miami when the roster was at least avg.
he's always been a solid qb and athlete. was an all big12 wr as a soph before he started at qb.
was someone i wanted the saints to try and get this offseason, but he'll get a starting job somewhere. probably tenn.

Just goes to show you how absolutely TERRIBLE Marriota was as a QB.

I wonder how good will they be next season. Don't know what their draft situation is, but with RT and DH, they look good and can build around those guys

In true Titans style they are going to give Tannehill way too much money and it's going to come down to week 17 against Houston where they will shite the bed and miss the playoffs.
Another middle of the first round pick, only this time a top 5 talent like Jeff Simmons will not fall into their laps.

They've got the skill guys. Henry leads the league in rushing over the last 16 weeks. Brown looks like he's going to be a really good WR sooner rather than later. They could use a bonafide field stretcher though and it's an offense I could see being very similar to the one in Minnesota. Tannehill is basically an athletic version of Cousins. I can't figure them out defensively. I'd say they're closer to the top than the bottom, but they lack a consistent edge rush.

As a Titan fan I like what I've seen from RT thus far. I don't think we'll get in because Marcus dug us too big of a hole but the playoff push is exciting to watch. As far as Tannehill's future with Tennessee I'm perfectly okay with either them tagging him and seeing if he can sustain this performance for another year or see if they can get him to sign a decent 4/5 year deal. Either way I see him being the starter for the Titans for at least another season. The biggest thing we need to do for him or another QB is upgrade that offensive line. The interior flat out sucks.

Titans would be 9-3 at worst if they rolled with RT week 1. He looked better in every preseason game than MM, but for 20M you have to start MM.
They will play their way into a one game playoff and lose, its what the Titans do
