Who has been the most dominant player over the last 5-6 years."
Tiger Woods
Side note: he would have won the last 2 majors IMO. Would be sitting at 16 if not for a bum knee

Totally fair. you ask people who is the best WR in history, all of them will not say Jerry Rice. thats our point. You proved it for us.
Well way to change your argument in the middle of the thread, Einstein.
You really think 100% of golfers are going to say that Tiger Woods is the greatest in history?
Not even you are that dumb.Posted on 8/12/08 at 1:46 pm to BLanoix

That was NOT the criteria for the original question.
The question was "Who is the best Tennis player?" not "Who is the best Tennis player in history?"

And you don't think ever Tennis player is going to say Federer?

Good thing that doesn't mean shite.

I suppose we can add one for Federer since he got ambushed by injuries and a cold before the Australia Open.

i wouldn't say peer evaluation has anything to do with it.

I would agree with that... see: Jason Varitek, AL All-Star.

I don't think it is the dominant factor either, but the concept that people are going to say that Nadal now is >Federer in his prime is ridiculous.

Obviously every topic or discussion is going to be in someones opinion. You ahve to ask a large sample pool to get a true feel.
If you ask the whole united states:
Who is the best golfer of all time?
Who is the best baseball player of all time?
Who is the best football player of all time?
you get my drift..... The highest % for 1 player will lie in golf. Tiger Wodds
Then ask the question who is the greatest athlete of all time? Again Tiger Woods
Dominate the most? Again Tiger Woods
Yes, their will be a few people who disagree, and their is no right or wrong answer as it is in everyones opinion. The majority will say Tiger.

This proves nothing relevant to the discussion.
Also nice change from "Other golfers" to "The Whole US"

NO! some will say Nadal. Thats my fricking point
Every golfer will say Tiger Woods
frick, after the players championship sergio says " i just want to thank Tiger for not showing up" how is that for respect among peers. I am not saying Roger doesnt have respect. He is fricking awesome.

And i agree with you on this. I think Federer is way > than Nadal. I am just saying what some people will say. Its not 100%.
You ask any golfer on the PGA tour, and they are going to say Tiger Woods. thats the point i was trying to make.
Disclaimer: I think Roger Federer is a fricking stud. He dominates the frick out of tennis.

You think that someone will say that Nadal is more dominant over the past five years, the time period where Federer was winning 3 majors per year while Nadal couldn't get into a major final outside of the French?
Sorry that's not true.

This gives you an advantage dumbass. If you ask just the other golfers they are ALL goig to say Tiger. Just the other golfers isnt a big enough sample pool. I was giving you an advantage and you didnt even realize it.

you are way off base with this. you seem to be projecting your feelings and opinions as the most popular when they likely aren't.

you also apparently can't construct a sentence properly and like to throw insults when you're being thoroughly owned
