I think it brings back bad memories for him, when Uncle Clyde used to finger his balloon knot.

He said he paid for his actions. You don’t say that if you didn’t do it. He’s a child molester

I would wager a pretty good amount that as part of the plea he can't claim his innocence.

I wondered about that too but thought maybe since he was a juvenile that made a difference.

I think the safest bet for anyone discussing this is to just say

this joke of a college is allowing a pedophile on their team all year and not one person is in an uproar about it. No protest.

Well it's college baseball, so only 10s of people know about it outside of this website.

No, the admins and Pat Casey knew, his teammates didn't.

2. He may not have, and was given 2 choices.. plead and keep this quiet. or dont plead and risk 25yrs in jail. He was a kid and scared and was pressured into this to make it go away.

He was facing a possible 40 weeks, if not released early.

25 years or any serious penalty was never in the equation.

Is that a fact? I was wondering about that but hadn’t seen anything that said for sure.

What’s really weird is that last year they kind of suspended him during the postseason after the info came out and then they just welcomed him back to start this season. Never made much sense

They cut his scholarship and got the ok for him to continue to play baseball from the victim and family. What else do you guys want from OSU

I’ve not heard any of that but I imagine that many people would still not want him to play

He was a backwards homeschooled 15-year old who probably hadn't even had "the talk".

His record as a young adult is completely clean, and research indicates that the chances of recidivism are extremely low.

Admins and Pat Casey are mum on the subject. There's this though....

quote:

Oregon State does learn when a student is a registered sex offender, according to university spokesman Steve Clark. Oregon State Police send the university a list of registered sex offenders in Benton County "on a regular ongoing basis," Clark said. The university then cross-checks those names with its student database to verify sex offenders who have enrolled.

The state police would not say how often the agency provides such lists to the university.

Assuming that process worked, then university officials would have learned about Heimlich's sex-offender status sometime after his arrival on campus in fall 2014, before his rise to stardom.
