And btw. He claims he never touched her. He was wanting to fight the charges. His parents took legal advice to plead guilty to make it go away. I have to believe that if the Royals are going to sign him, they did their homework on what actually happened.

They probably did their homework but I doubt they know any more than he said/she said. MLB is easy to take a flier on a troubled guy because he wouldn't be on the real club for years anyway. Royals might take a temporary hit then most of their fans will forget about him for years like all the other draft picks.

None of us were there. He may have did this, he may not. But you really have no clue what you will plead to if you are placed in a certain situation.
1. he may have done it. And plead guilty
2. He may not have, and was given 2 choices.. plead and keep this quiet. or dont plead and risk 25yrs in jail. He was a kid and scared and was pressured into this to make it go away.
Again, thats the 2 scenerios so to say
