Sweet by the amateur.

Well done by Rory. Dangerous shot with the ball below his feet and water right.

I'd say. He flew it right over the flag from 188 out of 3 inch rough and the ball below his feet.

I'd have put it in the water -- if I reached it.

How's that for a birdie by McIlroy?

I'm pretty sure I'd have been punching out, or pull hooking it swinging so hard through that rough.

What a fricking birdie though. I can't wait to watch this kid's career unfold. I hope he decides to join the PGA Tour soon.

I don't want to put the KOD on him, but damn I'm impressed not only with his shot making but his course management.

Thet would be the play. I've had problems getting out of my club's rough -- and it ain't US Open rough. But it turns my club badly.

He's playing well and smart. Tough combination for anyone to catch with his 8 stroke lead.

That was a hell of a play with the putter.

I think I'd have a very bad back if I played a round with that putter Garrigus uses.

A couple of 65s today.

Who would have ever thought McIlroy would be 13 under. He is a joy to watch.

I am so impressed with McIlroy.

Wasn't too happy with the asskicking he handed out in the Ryder Cup. But impressed, anyway.
