Els with his best shot yet on 9. 10 feet for birdie from 150+, 4 inch rough, and the ball 18 inches below his feet.

Els just hitst he shot of the day after losing his drive right on #9 he hits one off a side hill lie with the ball 2 ft. below his feet in the thick rough to about 8 feet.

Unless Phill gets under par, I say Els is the one to beat this weekend. He hasn't putted great, but has hit the ball outstanding, and already has 2 US Opens under his belt

Gonna be a lot of people on the local municipal course greens tomorrow making a practice putting stroke with one hand.

I thought about that earlier. Only problem is most of them will be righty's and still use their left hand to putt.
