Yeah well whatever......he's a carrier at this point anyway.

But seriously, I remember hearing all sorts of Tiger jibber jabber back when about how he NEVER quit and always finished a round no matter how he was doing and that it built character etc. etc.

Dude is a quitter now, he always quits rounds and blames some "injury" of the week

If he was even or maybe 1 over, would you think he would quit?

The only thing injured is his pride. He sucks right now and can't stand it. So in his mind its better to just QUIT than to fail. What a loser.

At least we know he didn't take a page out of Bret Favre's playbook!

Ben Curtis has won a couple more events, nearly won the PGA, and competed on the victorious Ryder Cup team in 2008. He's extremely consistent.

Not exactly a flash in the pan Major winner

Winners hate losing brah. Call it being sore, but the man has been a fricking champion and the best in the world for over a decade. Now that it has slipped away, he's trying too hard to correct his swing and since it isn't working, he doesn't know how to react. He's never been a loser

This is exactly my point. he has never struggled like this and doesn't know how to handle it. So quiting seems to be his option.

It is disappointing because he's made out to be a fearless competitor. He's in a bad spot right now

Pretty sure that if he didn't hit those 2 pitch shots into the water on 4, he'd still be out there

again, not consistent with what he did last year plus he knows he needs reps. doesn't add up to quitting because he was playing poorly.

I'm starting to wonder whether he will catch Nicklaus. A few years ago, I thought there was no question he would get to at least 20 majors. There are so many young golfers that he helped bring into the sport, and they can do anything he can do at this point in his career.

He also needs 11 total wins to catch Snead... don't think that will be happening since he only puts in his best efforts 4 times a year

I agree with this. the TIGER FACTOR was a huge advantadge for him. and that is LONG GONE.

So its NOT that he is hurt. he just QUIT cause he was failing so bad that he was in last place and couldn't handle it. I miss the OLD Tiger. I hope we see that Tiger again some day.
