Rickie played lights out today

He's played really well in both Open's

Has the ability to shape it both ways and flight it low

He will win an Open one day, maybe tomorrow

And honestly I think his game would really excel in Europe

That being said he will end up having a nice career here in the states

Puma wouldn't pay Fowler to wear that gear. They want him wearing what he's wearing.

other than not taking off his hat at Augusta

This was very overblown. He was wearing his hat backwards because he has advertising on the back of it (I think a puma logo and rickiefowler.com). They guy at Augusta told him that "we don't wear hats backwards here." Rickie said he just did it so people could see his face better, then the green jacket repeated to him to turn it around, and Rickie obliged. Really no big deal. If that and his dress code alone make you call him a douche, I feel sorry for you.

Ogilvie has won the U.S. Open and almost nobody could pick him out of a lineup. Fowler has never won a PGA tournament and is one of the most recognizable American golfers on the planet. Who do you think is the more successful endorsor of the product?

CBS is leaps and bounds better than anyone

I'll still take ESPN's shite than having to listen to Johnny Miller

I said he's probably a nice guy. But he DRESSES like a douche. Just like people who wear Affliction, Ed Hardy and jorts makes you look like a douche. I'm sorry, am supposed to like everybody on tour? I have many different reasons I dislike some golfers, with Rickie, it's his clothes. Sue me. I like guys that are sharp dressers and look respectable on the course, not somebody wearing an outfit that screams "Hey look at me!!!"

Where did I question who was endorsed Puma better? Dear god yal take stuff out of proportion. Stop getting so worked up I'm just stating my opinion.

quote:

u realize he gets paid MILLIONS of dollars to dress like that right?

Not that this was directed to me and I'm not debating the statement. But Ogilvie was the first golfer Puma signed to a deal up until 2010 he was their main focus until they admitted they were turning their attention to Rickie. I couldn't find anything on how much they paid Geoff but I bet it was a pretty good but given he was the 1st person they signed and he was their focus for four years. Is there a link to how much Rickie's deal is worth?

For all the bad press Americans have gotten recently, 10 of the top 16 right now are from the good Ole USA. Damn fine showing by our boys this week.

My 9 year old asked me who Fowler was and my son wants him to win because they have the same hair. He even asked could I find him an orange Puma hat.

If Fowler starts to win the kids will have a new golfer to root for.
