Gustavsson to Detroit. Wanted him pretty badly. Clemmensen also re-signed with Florida. Seems like we're going into the year with a Bobrovsky/Mason tandem.

Yes, but they also suck, and he said he wants a proven winner.
Crosby and Parise both played at the same school in Minny.
ETA: TSN stated Pens are not meeting ZP in person and they stated that this might be because the Pens know ZP is going to be a Pen.

The Detroit Red Wings are no longer traveling to meet with Zach Parise in person at his agents offices.
Pens are the HEAVY favorites right now.

Minny is like a Toronto.
Great place to play, all about hockey, but no one will go play there because they suck.
Minny can offer whatever they want, but at the end of the day, Parise has said a proven winner is more important than the extra money.
Just don't see that happening.
The Penguins are the Vegas favorites to win the Cup next year, and Zach is good friends with Crosby. The lure of playing along side Crosby+already being favorites without him...too much to overcome for someone like Minny.

Being a Huge Preds fan, I am hoping they re-sign Suter and get Weber under contract and continue to have the best blue line paring for the next 7-10 years.

I would Detroit is out of the Parise sweeps.
