In the words of Rick Reilly: "Tiger's tee shot was more blocked than a new stetson".

Thats one of the few shots you can watch a top pro hit and think "I could hit that."

I wish Gus Johnson would have been calling the back 9 today from the tower.

If you were just listening to the broadcast and not watching youd think Tiger was +10 on the day and Phil was -10.

They're about to be 3 shots apart

If you were watching ANY broadcast, you would be amazed that K J Choi has played with Tiger all 3 days, and has taken exactly the same number of shots.

Westwood gets his first major.
Mickelson will make too many bogeys.
Woods won't make a move and shoots another 70.
Couples will fade, though I would love to see him win.

Just the fact that Tiger is within striking distance is amazing considering his layoff from competition and the BS he's had to deal with. He won't win, but I wouldn't be surprised to see him finish in a tie for second.

I know he hasn't competed, but it's not like he hasn't golfed, it is pretty obvious at this point, he's been playing, and he's been working out too, dude is looking pretty buff compared to what he used to.

I always liked Reilly as a writer, but poor thing...it doesn't translate to t.v. IMHO. As Barkley would say, he just Turble.

Can't blame him for going for the $ though.

I think tiger has come from behind to win a tournament only once. Maybe that's just majors. I can't remember if that is true or not. I kinda remember them always saying that he had never come from behind to win. Well until his last one.

He'd probably be pretty close to the lead if he hadn't fell apart on the first 9 yesterday.

Ok, they just said it. Neither Phil or Tiger have ever come from behind in the last round in a major.

if ifs and buts were candy and nuts...

But seriously, they showed the stat yesterday of his front nine vs back nine scores. He is much better on the back nine.

It's bound to happen that he comes back in a major at some point. In regular tour events, he may be the best player to ever come from behind on Sundays.

Same way that he had never lost a major when leading after 54 holes. That was bound to happen, and Yang did it at the pga. If you consistently put yourself in position, both will happen at some point.

That said, I don't think today is the day he comes back. Although I think either he or westwood wins, don't see Phil doing it
