If you can't see that this team is built to be the Patriots of the 2010s you're blind. We're already damn good and are now filling the holes, it makes perfect sense

Jacob, I've always thought Ingram had the heart and drive to be as big of an impact player as another 5'-9" #22....Emmitt Smith.

I don't think it's as bad as you are making it out to be.

We gave up too much, but we sucked last year because we had no balance on offense. An improved running game means an improved Brees.

I don't really mind it.

Let me cut and paste what you quoted

You paid a 1st AND a 2nd for a glorified role player with limited upside

It's a first round pick for a first round pick. What the frick are you talking about?

the saints gave up their 2nd this year also, and our 1st next year may be a lot higher than 29

Dude step out of your emo shell every now and then, Gargamel. You don't always have to be a negative Nancy.

This is the most important point. With a balance running attack we are unstoppable. We were plenty "stoppable" on O last year compared to the year before.

Lets not forget we still have two 3rd round picks...We didn't exactly give up the house.

Gave up a 2nd round pick for a 1st round talent. I think that's ok.

If you want a franchise RB then you draft them in the 1st round. Saints addressed 2 of their biggest weaknesses and if they can get 1-2 solid LBs in the middle of the draft then they will have done a great job.

Those type of talents don't come around every year.

But why would I be mad at the saints for making a move on the #1 running back in the draft at a position of need?

It was a great pick.
