Inaccurate info was leaked that shaped public opinion. It wasn't corrected for months. If the correct info was published from day one this would have never been a story.
Yep, and in reality, that info could only have really come from the NFL.

Then you get the NFL releasing the "destroyed" cell phone, knowing using that terminology will also make Brady look bad, never mind that the NFL's own "independent" guy Ted Wells has stated that he never actually asked for the physical phone itself, meaning a destroyed phone is rather irrelevant. The NFL knows that is irrelevant, but also knows putting that terminology out there, plenty of media and fans won't care, they'll run with it.

One of three reasons Brady destroyed his phone:

He is guilty as sin and had incriminating evidence: Most Likely

He is innocent but destroyed his phone because he is simply a dumbass: less likely

He is innocent, but He is also the utmost conservative tea party member and destroyed it because as a believer in the constitution he beleives it is his American right to not hand over the phone: even less likely
You see the article with the leaked emails already coming out?

I'm assuming that changes your tune on why Brady, a huge celebrity, would be reluctant to hand over his phone to the NFL, who has on multiple occasions leaked info that isn't even true to smear Brad and/or the Patriots.

If you're not backtracking on your original stance, you must be dumb.

I certainly don't know this, but i'm guessing it's fairly common practice for celebrities to destroy phones when they get a new one.

I stupidly sided with him when he said he had a thousand pages, and then became disgusted when he never proved it.

O, the pages got leaked. Turned out to be a 200 page PDF filled with bullshite

Yeah it was putrid, you will get no argument from me. Like I said, I didn't think a commissioner would just lie about shite like that, and it made me look like a fool for taking him at face value at first.

He should have been reluctant to take this to trial. Thats why shite is coming out, not the NFL.

Correct. The NFL didnt leak anything. Brady bringing this to court is the reason the emails are public. This does absolutely nothing to vindicate Bradys phone destroying

Bill Simmons put it best-

Bill Simmons ?@BillSimmons
Dumbest part of DeflateGate (Day 192): People actually think Brady should have given his private cell phone to the NFL... aka, Leak Central.

Bill Simmons ?@BillSimmons
"Here, Roger, take my cell phone and all my private texts and pictures... You've handled every so honorably these last 9 years."

Bill Simmons ?@BillSimmons
To be fair, Goodell handled Spygate, Bountygate, Rice, concussions and the ref strike so well that he deserves the benefit of the doubt.

The NFL definitely leaked things when the story first broke, those things turned out to be inaccurate and the NFL never corrected it
