The NFC playoffs are more or less set with 3 weeks left

The biggest drama left is whether the SB berth goes though NO or LA. Neither is losing 2/3 to fall out of the top 2 looking at their schedule.
Chicago is effectively 2 games up on Dallas and locked into the 3 seed.
Dallas would have to win out or lose out to have any chance of moving from the 4 spot, and even then it’s unlikely.
Seattle would have to lose out to fall out of the 5 seed
Minnesota is still the heavy favorite to land the 6 seed given they own the tiebreaker over Philly and Carolina is about to lose twice to the Saints.
Can’t remember the last time a conferences playoff picture was effectively set so soon.

Meanwhile, the AFChas 10 teams with legitimate payoff chances and 4 teams who could realistically take the 1 seed.

I think there is still a 3 out of 28 chance the Falcons sneak into the playoffs.

Vikings may be done. Dolphins and bears could easily beat them, makes them 7-8-1.
Eagles could easily get to 8-8.
Panthers only need to steal one over the saints to get to 8-8.
Packers could get to 8-7-1.
Giants could get to 8-8.
Now individually none of those are likely, but you just need one to occur to at least make things interesting

Minnesota has a tie. There will be no tiebreaker unless GB is still alive.

With Chicago and Minnesota losing and GB winning, GB is now in the drivers seat for the wildcard

Minny wouid be a terrible 6 seed.
Also, in the NFC, it looks like the 4 division champs are all going to have better records than the 2 wild card teams.
The last time that we didn't have a NFC wild card team with a better record than a division champ, was 2006.

Would be a heck of a game. 2 of the hottest teams in football.
