You think the players will be on board for a season game reduction when they find out the pay on their contracts will also get reduced?

Highly doubtful.

Maybe make it 90 or 95

Something in that range would be fine.

I hate games that end up 73-72.

NBA basketball isn't entertaining in a low scoring atmosphere.

60 to 65 would be fine. i agree. same should be done for hockey. as well as MLB. 162 games? that is a joke. knock it down to around 100.

Were there significantly less injuries last season?

basketball would be better at 60 and baseball would be better at 120, imho

both need to pick up the pace when it comes to playoffs....shite lasts FOREVER

It sucks that we are going to miss out on seeing so many players in the playoffs because of the grind of the regular season.

If the season was only 60 games you would have missed out on seeing Kobe play in the playoffs anyways cause they wouldn't have made it.

and also..

If you changed the amount of games per year it pretty much makes almost every single career record unbreakable now

Pretty sure there were more injuries last year because of players not getting enough rest due to the condensed time span (more back to back games and even a back to back to back game for every team)

Uhm. . . Kobe, Rondo, Ginobili, Amare, Lou Williams, Gallinari, and Granger..
Hasn't Granger been hurt since before the Break?

And ACLs and ruptured Achilles didn't happen due to the grind of an 82 game season. Those injurieshappen just aas often early in a season as they do late in a season.

I think the NBA should play around 60 regular season games and start on Christmas day.

MLB should be finishing up in September. Knock off about 40 games from the regular season.

Both will never happen. Players and owners aren't going to take less money.
