I have to agree. 7 foot players as point guards shooting 3 pointers? And almost everyone on the court can dunk like Jordan. The players of today are bigger and more athletic.
But its part of the reason the game has become so boring.

Wizards have perfected the art of the tanking this season. Mark my words they will make the playoffs next season and then be elite in two seasons from now. If they get a top 4 pick it’s gonna be glorious.

This is true of pretty much every sport.
Does that mean every sport is better than ever? No. I used to watch every marquee NBA game I could that didn’t involve my Spurs. I never wanted to miss a special moment. I don’t get FOMO anymore with that league. Every team wants the same thing (7 footers at every position that have handles and good outside shooting) and pretty much plays the same way. Analytics have essentially solved the game. Adam Silver needs to initiate some sort of change, but he hasn’t. In fact, he’s doubled down with his comments on the league being highlight driven.
As long as 14-year olds check out the latest dunk by Anthony Edwards, Silver is happy.
I don’t think anybody disputes the talent of the league. Talent level is at an all time high. Creativity is also at an all time low. It also doesn’t help that more than a few stars have such unlikable personalities.
