I need to find that thread from a while back on enrollment standards at Ole Miss and Miss State.

Turned out they are set that low as part of a settlement after a Jackson State grad sued the state of Mississippi because no one would hire someone with a degree from there.


Curiously, actually improving the quality of the education at JSU didn’t appear to be part of the suit’s resolution.

Depends on the field

No one cares what school I went to just that I’m board certified and licensed

Good luck to anyone trying to shite down a HBCU. That’s tilting at windmills. Likely a fool’s errand. The politics are stacked against it.

Maybe if you're trying to apply at an elite law firm in NYC or on Wall Street it matters. Biggest factor in getting job is still about who you know.

Southern may be decent on the field from year to year but they’ll never rekindle the excitement and support they had during the Pete Richardson years.
