So one team gets Lawrence and one gets Fields.... Both might be fine considering I personally think both are NFL quality QBs (obviously) but I still am unsure what to futuristically convey on these 2.

My point is... if the Jets get Fields at #2 and he ends up being a better QB, I wont be surprised. I think its cause im higher on Fields potential. but Lawrence does have the higher ceiling obvioisly.

I want no part of Fields in the NFL. Next Ohio State QB flop.

I love NYC but if I was Lawrence that no state income tax would sound really appealing

Counterpoint is that if I was a 22 year old kid making that kind of money I’d rather be in a place like New York to fully enjoy it.

Although based on the Tebow-lite comments it doesn’t seem Lawrence’s brain is wired that way.

Eta- my comments assume life will be getting back to normal by fall 2021 nfl kickoff and NYC will be enjoyable through the duration of his contract.

I couldn’t agree more. I think Fields is going to be a bust.

Jacksonville gives TL a better opportunity to be successful. If I were him this is the outcome I would want.

Not from what I saw every mock draft has Zach Wilson going number 2. Fields going to panthers.

They May Go After Dabo Too...

I've heard all of the reasons why Dabo wouldn't go or the perception that he can't make it in the NFL but he's taken Clemson as far as it can go and it's clear that he's not happy with the direction that College Football has been going as it's getting more pro-like with paying players, near-free agency with the transfer rules, players opting out...

Just don't be surprised...

Same here, but if Dabo's at a point where he feels the need to take on another challenge I would rather it be now so Venables could take over and they give Tony Elliot a big fat raise to remain as OC and maybe assistant Head Coach.

If Dabo doesn't succeed, he can come in and take over Bama when St. Nicky retires

If you think about it, he can't lose. He could have a pro gig for 3-5 years making serious bank and if it works out so be it. If it doesn't work or he doesn't like it, when Saban retires, Dabo goes home with a huge salary.

I doubt that’s the case.

Taysom Hill sucks.
