more N Illinois fans would come stay in hotels, spend money, etc in Shreveport than ULL fans. I imagine a good amount would just drive back home right after the game.

You do realize this is the MSB right? How many ULL threads do you see on the Rant? I see quite a few threads on this board concerning other teams as well. Nice try, maybe next year champ.

i have nothing against ULL, it's not like they're any competition to LSU. i would have loved to see them in a bowl. maybe next year.

It didn't really exist until the baseball incident at the Box between the two teams. I lived in Lafayette for 8 years, and I know some ULL diehards that watch the LSU games just to root against them. In football, a lot of them adopt other teams such as Alabama, UT, etc so they can experience the joy of beating LSU.

On the other hand, I know some Cajun fans that both attend and cheer for the Tigers. It's a real shame the small population of bad fans give the entire fanbase a bad rap. I work for a company out of Lafayette, and they got off every time LSU lost this season.
