It's amazing to me a roster with Boogie, Rondo, and Gay with that supporting cast couldn't become a force.

Big egos I guess. Cuz that should be formidable unit.

Should it really though?

Not surprising they've already canned Karl. Kings will never win with Cousins there.

Why? Rondo has been done for years. Gay and cousins both have terrible reputations.

Rondo - Did a pretty damn good job in Boston. We're probably realizing how much he benefited playing with KG, Pierce, and Ray A but still.

Boogie - Headcase but he's probably the best center in the league now right?

Gay - I know you have a tainted taste in your mouth after his time in Memphis, but he still can ball.

I'm not saying they should be a top 3 WC team, but shouldn't they at least be a .500+ team?

You are absolutely right. The Kings had a nice squad this season. Rondo is still the best playmaking PG in the NBA. Gay is a solid wing. Collision and WCS were solid depth.

It is more he just hasn't been the same since his injury

He's a lot like Jeff Green. Teams are better with him off the floor than on.

He's a selfish, uncoachable, offense breaking idiot who would rather make a fancy pass than the right basketball play. If he was willing to actually listen to a coach he might be worth a damn. Instead, he just thinks he should be able to do whatever the frick he wants as he freelances you out of the game.

Best at accumulating empty stats maybe. Loved him in fantasy basketball this year.

Mark Jackson is the obvious choice as replacement.

Ignoring your coaches instructions, running whatever the frick you want instead of the called play, and ignoring your teammates is pretty fricking selfish.

Dude has done that shite everywhere he has been.

Back to Karl.

This is likely his last NBA job, so congrats on a very solid couple of decades run as a head coach. I wish those Sonics teams would have gotten over the hump once.

I wouldn't consider Karl one of the greats, but 1000 wins is a nice career.

Remember last offseason when Woj reported Sacramento was going to keep Karl and nearly had a Boogie trade lined up with the Lakers? Lol

It was predicted by some that this could be a trainwreck.

but yes, the Payton/kemp sonics were fantastic to watch
