Unless I'm missing something the fatal flaw in your system is OOC games are irrelevant, right

I guess you could make that argument. I say it is an incentive to make the OOC schedule better for fans. Teams can schedule good games without fear of essentially being eliminated after week 1.

As for CCG, 2 division winners face off.

- 6 conferences with 12 teams in each conference

-round robin in the conference with one OOC game against another P5 team = 12 reg. season games

-two byes for each team and no CCG

-6 conferences champs get in and 2 wild cards

-1st round at higher seed site

-semifinal and NC the way it currently is

Well, I'd like for LSU to be in the playoffs just so I could see that sideline reporter do her Coach O impression.

But that's just like my opinion, man.

No added weeks and no conference championship teams

On the week of conference championship games play 4 games at best 4 conference regukae season champion home stadium. Other 4 opponents are the 5th conference regular season champion and three at large teams.

4 winners reseeded and play like now.

Not extra games. No extra fan cost with crazy Travel, revenue same as same number of games (minus one conference championship as there are 5 now versus 4 hosted games. Room for a non power 5 at large. If a conference has two great teams or a non champion with impressive OOC wins they can get in. Reward to conference regular season conference champ with home game.

12 or 14 team conferences can figure out how to Crown there champ. This year would have been Auburn, Oklahoma, Wisconsin, Clemson and USC. USC would not, have gotten home game. At large teams three from UCF Ohio State Bama or Georgia.

Also will,be argument about 8 versus 9 getting in. Better than argument about 4 versus 5

Strong OOC games would make a difference in at large selection.

Naw. 4 teams is plenty

Dont water down the importance of regular season more

This. After the game Monday, we'll have a worthy National Champion. That's the point of the entire system. It will never be fair and it will never be nice & neat. That's what makes College Football such a great sport and it is what makes the regular season the best in all of sports.
