So burrow plays on a better team than Tua does. This is the argument for TLaw.
Using injuries as an excuse is piss poor.

Tua’s been more available to his team than Burrow has. Facts.
Burrow has won more and had more playoff success than tua. Facts.
Burrow has thrown more tds while playing one less total.
97 tds
37 picks
Tua
81 tds
37 picks
This isn't a contest.

Because his team is better (the reason Tlaw is making 55 mil is because if he swapped with Tua he’d be better)
I didn’t say this, I’m repeating what I saw.

Sweet switch away from your attempt to compare Burrow
Dolphins had a better record than the Bengals last year so that excuse falls flat
ETA: Tua isn't going to frick you, DolphinDaddy

Would you pay a guy $55 million whose ankles are held together with chicken wire ?

Tuas best season
29 tds
14 picks
That would be Joe's 3rd best season.

The point is, the argument wasn’t for Joe being better. It was for Tua’s lack of availability due to injuries.
I’m ok with admitting Joe is better.
We still have the T Law problem.

Hell, Jalen Hurts is making 51 million and we all know he’s not better than any of these guys.

It’s not one or the other. Lawrence has avoided injury and has been decent. Tua is injury prone and has been good. Burrow is injury prone and has been very good.
Good + Injury Prone =/= $55 Mil per year.
This isn’t rocket science.

Tua is 1 concussion away from retirement. He didn't have any in 2023 but had somewhere between 1 and 3 concussions in 2022 depending on who you want to trust.
His next injury cold easily be his last whereas Burrow and TLaw could tear some ACLs and still have 10+ year careers.
Tua was terrible until Mike McDaniel came along. Shows it's more the system than the player.
T Law does suck IMO. Been overrated since Clemson. Hasn't shown anything. But he was a #1 pick and plays everygame and is an above average starter in the NFL. I'd pay him over Tua anyday as well.

Then how is Burrow at the same number with more games missed than Tua?
We we're just reminding you.

There's no way you believe this.
Tua has one of if not the biggest game breaking receiver in NFL history on his team.
Burrow has played with one of the worst offensive lines in the league every year he's been in cincy.

I don’t believe this. Joe is a better QB.
My point is if the dolphin don’t AT LEAST pay Tua 51 million then Tua needs to leave.
Someone said put Tlaw on the Dolphins and he’s winning 1-2 playoff games.
Not when the Dolphins can’t keep Buffalo from scoring 35+ points when it matters.

Also the Dolphins were without Ramsey for half the season, and our best pass rusher went down at the end of the year.
X was injured all year.
We had a slot corner as our best DB for most of the season.
Also the Dolphins O line is only mediocre when Armstead plays (60% of the time)

I can see both sides but lean toward the Dolphins needing to be very careful about committing to such a large and long term contract with Tua.
Choosing to invest in elite skill talent with a rookie contract QB (late round Purdue type even better) might be worth considering.

With one less game, Burrow has 16 more touchdowns, the same amount of ints, a higher completion percentage, 2000 more yards, and as mentioned, a SB appearance.

Does anyone actually think Tua is playing 4 years from now?
