He is correct that the shoe companies are reacting this way because his model is a threat to their model.
He's not even remotely correct that shoe companies are afraid of some unproven prospects getting an insane "co-branding" contract.
Shoe companies will co-brand but they're doing it with the Jordan and Lebrons of the world.

Jason Kidd as good a player as he was, just wasn't a flashy marketable guy. I dont think Lavar gets that bc he thinks Lonzo is a mix of Jordan with a dash of Lebron and some kobe thrown in. He doesn't get that Lonzo isn't this generational talent thats worth billions to the shoe companies.

Jordan's are the closest thing to a Co brand, but everyone knows Jordan. Nobody)

And Lonzo has no discernible personality and the only time he gets to show any is when Lavar is sucking all the air out of the room and Lonzo just sits there like he's being held captive.

The issue here is that "family" is abusing their relationship and using Lonzo's success for their own gain.

Tell that to my friends who pissed away tons of money on their alcoholic and terrible parents.
Goddamnit I keep responding to your trolling.

Their clothing website looks like it was created with a $99 computer software. Look at this wrinkly arse white t-shirt that they want $50 for.

Re "compound interest" comment: exactly. Ben Simmons, last year's #1 pick, got a $80M shoe deal before he touched an NBA court. No way Ball ever makes up that kind of loss down the road.
